High pressure water jetting is the most effective means of clearing drains, Fast Flow have the experience and comprehensive range of jetting equipment to deal with any blockage.

The standard high pressure drain jetting units are fitted into the rear of our fully equipped Service vans, they are called Van-Pac Jetting units.

The most common cause of a blocked drain is a sewage and paper blockage , this can be dealt with quickly and effectively by high pressure water jetting, blocked sink/rainwater gullies can also be cleared easily by High pressure water Jetting.

High Pressure water jetting can be used to clear and clean internal soil stack pipes which serve toilets/sinks, urinals , this is carried out by access from an internal manhole at the base of the stack pipe, the jet will then clean the stack pipe as it climbs up the pipe. Soil Stacks can also be cleaned from level with a 90 degree stack jet nozzle.

A Blocked Interceptor is another common cause of blocked drains, the Interceptor manhole is normally the last manhole before the drain connects to the main sewer, the interceptor trap gets blocked with paper/ debris this can be cleared with a forward facing High Pressure Jetting Nozzle which is attached to a drain rod, this fires a jet of water into the blockage, clearing any obstructions and leaving a free flowing drain.

Another common cause of blocked Drains is caused by fat and grease building up in the drainage system, this can also be cleared by High Pressure Water Jetting the fat and grease removed and the blockage cleared, normally with a fat and grease blockage the cleaning of the drain is required afterwards to remove all the build up of solid/hard grease in the drain, this is done with a higher pressure water jetting equipment and a 90 degree spinning nozzle used to remove grease from all of the drain, a CCTV Camera is advised to be used when cleaning is being carried out to assess when the pipe is clean.

Another cause of blocked drains is caused by lime-scale this builds up along the drain run causing scale encrustation build up and causes blockages in the drain , this can be removed by high pressure water jetting using a flail jet, this works by the high pressure water turning a rotary spinning nozzle with chains attached which remove the scale build up from the drain ,a CCTV Camera is advised to be used when scale cutting is being carried out to assess when the scale has been removed from the drain and wether any further repairs to the drain are required.

Fast Flow also has Trailer mounted high pressure jetting units, which are ideal where Van-Pac units cannot access, building sites tight entry access etc.

High pressure water jetting equipment varies from small jetting units delivering pressure of 3,000 psi up to larger units delivering higher pressures of 80,000 psi, High pressure water jetting can also be used for cutting concrete out of drainage systems, where the jetting unit is run at a lower flow rate but at high pressure to cut and remove the concrete from the drain.

Larger bore drainage systems require cleaning with larger jetting Equipment ,Tanker Jetting units are equipped with larger high pressure jetting units and can easily handle drains up to 1000mm diameter. Tanker Jetting units are ideal for culvert cleaning and large foul and surface water drainage systems.
